seamless associate and customer experience across Point of Sale, Corporate Information Security, Corporate Systems, Infrastructure Engineering, Health & Wellness,
Division Technology, Store & Associate Technology and Program & Agile Delivery.
Experience
Jim joined Kroger in 1992 as a Store Associate in the QFC Division bagging groceries as a courtesy clerk and later serving leadership roles in Store Operations,
Merchandising and ultimately Technology. While in Technology, Jim has held leadership roles including Project Director for the Fred Meyer Division, Director of
Information Systems, Project Manager and Pricing Systems Manager for the QFC Division. Jim left Kroger in 2004 to serve as Chief Information Officer of Bashas’
Family of Stores in Phoenix before taking a role as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Harris Teeter in 2008. Following the merger of Kroger and Harris
Teeter in 2014, Jim was named vice president of Enterprise Retail Systems in 2017 and named vice president of associate technology in 2020.
Recognition
Jim serves on the Food Marketing Institute Technology Advisory Council (formerly the CIO Council) and the CIO Advisory Board of Aparro (a shared services support
organization for non-profits) in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Education
Jim completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration at the University of Phoenix, his Master’s Degree of Business Administration at Seattle University
and holds a Certificate in Food Industry Management from the University of Southern California.
