Stephanie J. Jensen serves as Director of Data Science for Dollar General’s Retail Media Network (DGMN), overseeing measurement for DGMN by leading data science initiatives to enhance marketing and operations.
In her role, she uses analytics to drive business decisions, takes a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams, vendor partners and advertisers, and is adaptable – pivoting strategies to best suit the needs of the Company and clients.
Prior to joining Dollar General as a senior manager of data science in 2023, she served in an IT data science role at a CPG company. Before transitioning to retail data science, Stephanie served as an academic research scientist, publishing on modeling photo-sensors and photovoltaic solar cells.
Stephanie earned her PhD in materials chemistry and bachelor’s in mathematics and chemistry from the University of South Dakota. She also served as a postdoctoral research associate at Wake Forest University.
